Celebrating Women's History Month - Les Coeurs Sauvages

Celebrating Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month, in which we reflect on the amazing contributions women of the past have made to our society, and celebrate the groundbreaking strides of all women today. As a women-owned and women-led business, we want to  to acknowledge some of the incredible girl-boss brands that we carry that are also women-owned.

samara bags

SAMARA bags is a cruelty-free fashion house based in Toronto. SAMARA is run by two sisters; Salima and Samara Visram and was born out of the need for elegant, minimalist bags and purses. Each product is created with the finest, eco-friendly materials, with great attention to detail. Each purchase contributes towards the provision of light to children in East Africa through the Soular Backpack (a Not for Profit started by Salima Visram). SAMARA has a wide range of vegan leather bags, their latest product being an apple-leather mini, which is created with apple skins (a by-product of the juicing industry).

LIKHÂ features a collection of ethically-made pieces ranging from home décor to jewelry and fashion accessories. Their products are crafted from natural, eco-friendly materials (often repurposed by-products of the food/agricultural sector) including straw and plant fiber, coco coir, sustainably-sourced shells, and recycled wood. Designed in California by their female founder in collaboration with our artisans, each item is painstakingly made by hand and features a blend of intricate traditional techniques and modern design.

Le Privé is a Polish brand for women looking for elegance combined with perfect harmony. Ultra feminine silhouettes, daring cuts and a bit of nostalgia are what distinguishes the brand among others. Collections are made of highest quality premium textiles and are manufactured locally. The founders - Alex and Patricia say that their main inspiration is chic of Paris, daring and nonchalance of New York: “We believe that modern women have lots of power, courage and fantastic positive energy which they manifest with outfits they wear. They persistently follow their goals, are not afraid of new challenges and reach where others don’t imagine."

Browly is driven by innovation and passion. They work closely with our community to create innovative and effective eyebrow products that make life easier and are affordable for everyone - high quality at a fair price. Together with their incredible team of responsible beauty lovers, creative minds and experts, they want to make beauty sustainable for you and our planet. Browly proudly says that all of their products are "cruelty-free and vegan". Even their packaging follows the motto "Green is the new Black". They, therefore, mainly use recycled or recyclable materials and try to avoid any unnecessary packaging waste.
